On March 8, we commemorate the birthday of Ignacy Łukasiewicz, an outstanding inventor, entrepreneur, and pioneer of the oil industry. Thanks to his work, the first kerosene lamp (1853) and the world’s first oil well in Bóbrka (1854) were created. His innovative approach to science and industry laid the foundation for the development of modern energy solutions.
