World Urban Forum is a prestigious international conference organized by the UN-Habitat for the development of urban areas and human settlements. It is the most important global event for politics, transformation and urban development. It takes place every two years and hosts over 20,000 participants from governments, regions, cities, NGOs and financial institutions.

The last - tenth - edition of the Forum was held in 2020 in Abu Dhabi - the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The previous two meetings were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Quito, Ecuador.
