The Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Maria Mrówczyńska, visited the Łukasiewicz Institute – EMAG. This visit provided an opportunity to showcase the extensive potential of our Institute, which combines advanced technologies with practical support for business and the public sector.
Modern Technologies and Advanced Research
During her visit, the Deputy Minister became familiar with the key areas of our operations. The Institute specializes in designing advanced IT systems, developing technologies that enhance digital security, and implementing artificial intelligence. The highly skilled staff and modern research infrastructure enable the execution of innovative projects both in laboratories and industrial environments.
Technologies for Accessibility
One of the important areas of the Institute’s work is the development of artificial intelligence technologies aimed at improving accessibility and combating social exclusion. Examples of such initiatives include projects utilizing AI to create tools that support people with disabilities. These efforts are focused on developing solutions that are user-friendly and accessible to all.
Cybersecurity Services Center (CUBE)
During the meeting, the Cybersecurity Services Center (CUBE) was presented, offering comprehensive support in digital protection. Solutions such as systems for detecting and countering cyberattacks, IT infrastructure monitoring, and expert consulting available 24/7 allow clients to effectively protect themselves against threats in cyberspace.
Research and Certification Laboratories
As part of the visit, Deputy Minister Maria Mrówczyńska had the opportunity to visit the Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing Laboratory and the Radio Equipment Testing Laboratory, both part of the Institute’s Research and Certification Center. Within the Center, the IT Security Evaluation Facility (ITSEF) operates, specializing in the evaluation of IT product security, accredited by the Polish Accreditation Center (Certificate No. AB 1781) and holding a certification license from NASK compliant with SOG-IS and CCRA requirements. Additionally, the Center includes the Cable and Environmental Testing Laboratory, the Electrical Machinery and Equipment Testing Laboratory, the Gas Detection Devices Testing Laboratory, the Calibration Laboratory, and an accredited product certification body. Each of these laboratories plays a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety for products and services on both domestic and international markets.
